ABOUT US

 

 

SAHAS is an umbrella organization, a federation of over 27 independent Global Afghan Hindus and Sikhs Associations established

as a 501 (c)(3)

public charity on Aug 15th, 2021, in New York USA.

To work together formally, more precisely an association union representing Afghan Hindus and Sikhs worldwide.

Members have adopted the same, or a very similar cause who are working in union to accomplish some worthy objectives, and who for that reason have banded themselves together as a federation of associations or societies to aid and assist one another to promote the common cause.

To coordinate activities or pool resources. To provide financial aid and education for at-risk and less privileged women, children, and seniors living in Afghanistan and across boundaries. To support at-risk women children & seniors to obtain the much-needed resources to realize their dreams for a better life. To Promote dignity and hope, and ethnic and cultural awareness. To focus on promoting native language(s), to preserve ethnic, cultural, national, regional, linguistic, and religious traditions. To organize and teach our history and values to the next generation of the communities, a sense of community is the primary objective. To create and promote communal responsibility. To reinvent how people share knowledge, tell stories, and inspire our younger generation. To develop relationships that make a positive difference in our communities’ lives, and work together across boundaries to meet the needs of our communities. To value our people, encourage their development. To Organize festivals at international arena, produce and sponsor public events, to celebrate Sikhs and Hindus principles. To inspire healthier communities by connecting people to diverse music and food traditions, folklife programs.  relationships that make a positive difference in our communities’ lives, work together across boundaries to meet the needs of our communities.
